Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Boeing 747 variants listed in Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 747-32-2461 to replace brake accumulators with aluminium end caps with units that have stainless steel end caps, and forbids installing specific Parker part numbers as replacements. Compliance must occur at the next “C”-check or within 6000 flight hours. CASA cites ten aluminium end‑cap fractures that could cause injury, depressurisation, hydraulic system loss or APU fuel‑line damage; operators bear replacement and scheduling costs, and the CASA delegate enforces compliance.
