Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This instrument directs operators and maintenance organisations of specified Boeing 747 models to comply with FAA AD 93-10-01 (as adopted by CASA) — carrying out required inspections and repairs for corroded/cracked lower-lobe and main deck cargo‑door fittings, cam latch bellcranks and cam latches. Amendment 1 doesn’t change obligations or applicability; it only clarifies the compliance timing for optional repetitive cam‑latch inspections. Operators bear compliance costs; CASA enforces the requirement.
