Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Requires operators of Boeing 737-200/300/400/500 aircraft fitted with specified BFGoodrich evacuation slides to modify the slide valise per BFGoodrich Service Bulletin 101658/659/660-25-257 before 7 October 1996. The modification addresses reports that an aspirator failed to seal after a battery test lead was ingested, causing inflation pressure loss and rendering slides inoperative. It matters because affected operators must implement the technical fix by the deadline to restore reliable emergency inflation.
