Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This instrument revokes the earlier AD and issues an amended airworthiness directive for Boeing 737 series aeroplanes addressing the door‑mounted escape slide latch block assembly. A CASA delegate, under subregulation 39.1(1) of CASR 1998, mandates that operators and maintenance organisations carry out the actions, instructions and timings set out in the AD’s requirement and compliance sections. It aims to correct an unsafe condition and creates mandatory inspection/repair obligations and associated operational costs.
