Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Rewrites the Emergency Procedures in the Boeing 737-300/ -400/ -500 Aircraft Flight Manual so crew must set oxygen masks and regulators to ON, 100% when the cabin altitude warning horn sounds, instead of only after rapid depressurisation above 14,000 ft. Operators must insert this directive into the AFM by 20 June 2003. This affects aircraft operators and flight crews by replacing an altitude-limited trigger with a cockpit-warning–triggered action and imposes a short administrative compliance task plus a crew-procedure change.
