Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document cancels an old aircraft safety rule.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has cancelled Airworthiness Directive AD/B737/2, which previously required specific leak testing for the engine fuel supply systems on Boeing 737 aeroplanes.

What this means:

The old safety requirement no longer applies as of 16 March 2006
A newer directive (AD/B737/273) now covers these requirements instead
Operators should follow the updated directive

Who is affected:

Owners and operators of Boeing 737 series aircraft
Maintenance organisations servicing these fuel systems

An Airworthiness Directive is a mandatory safety notice issued by CASA to address unsafe conditions in aircraft.
