Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive (AD/B737/192 Amdt 1) directs operators of Boeing 737-700 and -800 aircraft (line numbers 1–190) to carry out the technical actions specified in FAA AD 99-18-01 to inspect and fix the elevator tab mast fitting, addressing fractured fittings and excessive freeplay that could risk loss of control. CASA issued the amendment to add a terminating option: complying with AD/B737/210 ends the obligations of this Directive. CASA decides; operators pay inspection and repair costs and must change maintenance actions.
