Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires operators of early-production Boeing 737s (Line Nos. 1–509) to carry out recurring inspections of the forward lower cargo doorway frames per Boeing SB 737‑53‑1051 (Rev 3 or later) and to install the SB’s preventative modification when available. It responds to reported frame cracking that could lead to skin failure and rapid decompression. Operators must fund and schedule inspections/modification; completing the modification ends the recurring inspection burden.
