Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This document cancels a previous safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive or AD) that applied to Boeing 737 aircraft.

What it cancelled: The old rule (AD/B737/138 Amendment 1) required specific inspections or fixes related to fuel boost pump wiring on Boeing 737 series aeroplanes.

Why it matters: As of 13 March 2008, the old requirements no longer apply. This cancellation happens because the old rule has been replaced by a newer, updated safety directive (AD/B737/303 Amendment 1) that now covers the same issue. Aircraft operators no longer need to follow the cancelled directive, but must comply with the replacement directive instead.
