Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority now requires all Boeing 727s to undergo the inspections and any rework set out in Boeing Alert Service Bulletin No. 727-57A159 Revision 3 (including NSC1), aligning with a related FAA AD. Aircraft owners and operators must obtain, pay for and carry out the SB’s inspections/repairs because of widespread wing upper‑stringer cracking and concerns some prior repairs were ineffective.
