Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of all Boeing 727 models to inspect the horizontal stabilizer centre-section front spar junction fittings. It does not set technical steps itself but mandates compliance with FAA AD 77-18-06 (with Boeing SB 55-A69 Rev.1 as an alternate source) as the binding inspection and corrective-action authority.

Practically, operators bear the cost and responsibility to obtain the referenced AD and carry out any inspections or repairs it prescribes.
