Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This Directive requires operators of specified Boeing 727 models to inspect and, if necessary, modify engine fuel feed forward shroud hose assemblies by following Boeing Service Bulletin 727-28-51 Rev.2 or FAA AD 77-03-02. It affects aircraft owners/operators and maintenance organisations, who bear costs and record-keeping obligations.

Installing corrosion‑resistant braided hoses removes the need for repeat inspections under the updated FAA AD, creating an economic incentive to modify rather than repeatedly inspect.
