This airworthiness directive mandates immediate installation of a protective cover on the cargo‑door mechanism of all Boeing 727 series aeroplanes, to be carried out per Boeing Service Bulletin No. 52‑34. It affects owners/operators, who must fund and schedule the work “forthwith” (no alternatives or deferments specified), potentially causing downtime and maintenance rescheduling to achieve mandatory compliance.
