Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive orders Boeing 727 operators with STC ST01004NY-fitted Airline Container Manufacturing cargo straps (part 1519-MCIDS) to update their Aircraft Flight Manual and Weight & Balance Manual. It stops those straps being used as the sole means of securing cargo to TSO C90c/NAS3610 pallets; they may remain as supplemental restraints or be used with aircraft floor fittings, within a 5,000 lb strap rating. Affected operators must revise manuals and change loading practice within 14 days after 1 December 2004.
