Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD mandates inspection—and, if needed, cold‑working, repair or replacement—of the BS 870 terminal fitting on Boeing 727s (line numbers 001–875), following FAA AD 91‑24‑11 Revision 1 and the referenced Boeing service bulletin. It affects aircraft owners/operators and maintenance providers because cracking/web separation was reported; compliance preserves structural integrity and imposes inspection, repair workload and related costs.
