Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD makes compliance with FAA AD 92-19-10 (and related Boeing Service Bulletin 727-53-0085 Revs 3–4) mandatory for Boeing 727-100 and 727-100C aeroplanes to address corrosion beneath the aft cargo compartment floor. Owners/operators and maintenance organisations must carry out inspections and corrective work per the referenced documents.

It shifts inspection/repair costs and downtime to operators while extending the safety requirement to all affected 727-100/-100C aircraft (effective 4 February 1993).

Applicability: Model 727-100 and -100C series.

Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 92-19-10 Amdt 39-8368.
