Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This legally binding safety directive requires the immediate installation of main rotor blade dampers on specific helicopters.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Brantly B-2 model helicopters.

The requirement: You must install main rotor blade dampers (devices that reduce vibration and stress on the helicopter's main rotor) in accordance with the manufacturer's Service Letter No. 2.

Compliance deadline: Immediately ('forthwith' — meaning without delay).

Why it matters: This ensures the helicopter remains safe to fly. Airworthiness Directives (mandatory safety notices issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority) must be complied with before an aircraft can operate legally.
