Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does: This is a safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) that requires owners and operators of specific Brantly B-2 helicopters to modify the upper attachment point of the rudder control post.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of:

Brantly B-2A and B-2B helicopters with serial numbers before 447
Any B-2 series helicopter fitted with bucket seats

What you must do: You must carry out the modification immediately (the directive uses the term "Forthwith"). The exact technical steps are contained in Brantly Service Bulletin No. 19, which you must follow to comply.

Why it matters: This directive addresses a specific safety defect in the helicopter's flight control system. The rudder control post attachment is critical for directional control of the aircraft, and this modification prevents potential control failures.
