AD/AUS/7 - Engine Mount Attachment Bolt - CANCELLED

What this does: This document officially cancels an old aircraft safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive or AD) from 1950.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Auster/Beagle A.61 series aeroplanes (light aircraft).

What the old rule required: Back in 1950, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) required owners to replace specific engine mount bolts marked "NEWTON" with stronger high-tensile steel bolts meeting British Standard Specification No. 2A.15. This was a safety fix that had to be done immediately.

Why it matters: Since all affected aircraft were modified decades ago, the 1950 rule is now redundant. This cancellation formally removes the requirement from the aviation safety rules effective 30 July 2009, cleaning up the regulatory books.
