AD/AUS/4 - Aileron Control Push Rod - CANCELLED

What this does: This document formally cancels an old aircraft safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/AUS/4) originally issued in 1956 that required specific repairs to aileron control push rods on Auster/Beagle A.61 series aeroplanes.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of these specific vintage aircraft—though practically, no current operators are affected.

Why it matters: The original rule required aircraft owners to replace worn ball and socket bearings in the aileron control system. Because all affected aircraft would have completed this modification decades ago, the rule became redundant. This cancellation removes the obsolete legal requirement from the books as of 30 July 2009.
