Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive orders owners/operators of specific Auster/Beagle light aircraft to immediately replace the original ball-and-socket aileron control-rod joints with redesigned rod-end bearings (by specified Auster modifications or DCA drawings, depending on model). It’s urgent because the original fittings can fail or wear, risking loss of roll control and a potential accident.
