AD/AS 355/82 Amdt 1 - BREEZE Hoist Hooks

This directive requires operators of Eurocopter AS 355 E/F/F1/F2/N helicopters fitted with Breeze hoists using hook assembly BL-7520-01 (hook BL-7520 without a tongue locking system) to follow a specific operational procedure and to stop using straps with that hook. It responds to an incident where incorrect strap positioning distorted the hook tongue and released a stretcher. Operators must inspect before each hoist and comply by two months after 10 November 2004; the amendment merely converts the requirement into an Alert Service Bulletin without changing the technical content.
