This AD requires operators of Eurocopter AS 355 helicopters fitted with MAG(E) camera‑platform modifications 350‑1521, 350‑1680 or 350‑1707 to inspect the camera hold‑down hook, replace part 350‑1521‑109 with 350‑1521‑139 if present, and modify the mounting arm per MAG(E) Service Bulletin SB‑A25‑002 (or later EASA‑approved revision). Owners/operators must complete these actions within three months after 30 September 2004; they pay for parts and certified maintenance. CASA (via its delegate, under CASR subregulation 39.1(1)) issued the AD after reports of hook failures that could allow the platform to detach.
