AD/AS 355/35 - AC Generation System - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that applied to Eurocopter AS 355 (Twin Ecureuil) helicopters.

What it used to require: The previous rule (from May 1990) required operators to check the helicopter's AC electrical generation system within 100 hours of flying time.

What this does: As of 30 July 2009, that check is no longer required. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has cancelled the directive because the safety issue has been resolved or is no longer relevant.

Who is affected: Owners and operators of Eurocopter AS 355 helicopters (and maintenance organisations working on them) no longer need to comply with the specific check mandated by the original 1990 directive.
