Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive for Eurocopter AS355 Twin Ecureuil helicopters orders operators and pilots to inspect, regularly grease, and install a manufacturer modification on the rotating swashplate bearing, plus perform daily visual checks, after a seizure-related crash. It targets anyone operating or maintaining these helicopters because a seized swashplate bearing can lead to loss of control, so the measures are required to prevent further accidents.
