Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of Mystère‑Falcon 50 and 900 aeroplanes to manually open the main landing‑gear doors and inspect the emergency‑release pins, and—if the manufacturer’s service‑bulletin modification has not been done—to replace the release lever and splined pin. It addresses reports of fatigue failure of the release pin that could prevent emergency gear extension. The amendment corrects a typographical error and does not change the substantive requirements or who must comply.

Background: This Airworthiness Directive is prompted by reports of the MLG door emergency release pin breaking due to fatigue failure.
