Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This is a mandatory safety notice (an Airworthiness Directive) that requires immediate action to fix a potentially dangerous fault in aircraft fuel heaters.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Falcon 20 series aircraft (including Mystere-Falcon 200 models) that are fitted with a specific type of fuel heater made by Janitrol (part number B19D84).

What must be done: Operators must immediately follow the technical instructions in the manufacturer's Service Bulletin No. 358 (dated 73-5) to inspect, repair, or replace the affected fuel heaters. A "Service Bulletin" is simply the manufacturer's official repair manual for a specific safety problem.

When: Immediately (the legal term used is "Forthwith").

Why it matters: Fuel heater defects can pose serious fire or explosion risks. This directive legally grounds affected aircraft until the safety work is completed.
