Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive imposes mandatory safety requirements on operators of specific Dassault Falcon 20 series business jets (Fan Jet Falcon, Mystere Falcon 20-(x)5, and Mystere Falcon 20 GF models).

What it requires:

Inspect the wing-to-fuselage upper fairings (the aerodynamic panels covering the joint where the wing meets the aircraft body) for damage and to ensure they are securely attached
Modify the fairings by installing cup washers (concave washers that improve load distribution) beneath the screw heads on the vertical seams, following the specific procedure in Maintenance Manual DMD 11752
Comply by the earlier of: 31 January 1997, or within 330 flight hours after 20 June 1996
Continue inspecting these fairings every 6 months or 300 flight hours thereafter

Why it matters: The rule prevents these panels from detaching during flight, which could damage the aircraft or endanger people and property below.
