Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

What it does: This Airworthiness Directive orders operators of specified Allison Model 250 turboshaft/turboprop engines fitted with Superior Air Parts PMA bearings (P/N A6871505 and/or A23007152) to inspect engine oil filters at set intervals and replace those Superior bearings with Allison Engine Company parts. It cites reported premature bearing wear and risk of turbine/engine failure; replacement is the terminating action. Operators bear inspection and replacement costs and must schedule work at the next access as required.
