Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Allison 250‑C30 series engines (C30, C30L, C30M, C30P, C30S) to install an internal energy‑absorbing ring per Allison manual CEB‑A‑72‑3128 R1, ¶2. It broadens protection to all C30 engines, removes prior external containment or special‑configuration alternatives, and aligns with AD/AL 250/66 and FAA AD 86‑19‑12 to better contain debris after catastrophic failures.
