Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

Owners and operators of Allison 250-series turbine engines fitted with specified Bendix power turbine governors must inspect the governor drive shaft per the manufacturer’s Commercial Engine Bulletins and, if required, repair the torsional spring drive assembly using epoxy bonding. The AD prevents governor drive-shaft failures that could cause engine malfunctions. This amendment drops the emergency “alert” status, updates covered part numbers, and adds and reorganizes the repair/compliance procedures.
