Plain English Summary

What it does

This safety directive requires aircraft operators to replace faulty external plugs and levers on specific fuel controls and turbine governors fitted to Allison 250-C20 series engines.

Who must comply

This applies only to operators whose aircraft have engines with very specific part and serial numbers:

Fuel Controls (Part No. 6875653): Serial numbers OAACO1, OAACO4 through OAACO9, IAAC11 through IAAC15, IAAC17, IAAC18, IAAC21, and IAAC40
Power Turbine Governors (Part No. 6875654): Serial numbers OAAD01, OAAD02, OAAD04 through OAAD06, OAAD08 through OAAD12, IAAD15 through IAAD18, and IAAD20 through IAAD22

What you need to do

Replace the affected external plugs and levers following the technical instructions in Allison CEB No. 250 CEB-1002 (an external manufacturer bulletin).

Why this matters

These specific Ceco-made components were found to be defective and could cause fuel control or governor failures, potentially leading to sudden loss of engine power in flight.
