This document cancels an old aircraft safety rule that required specific agricultural planes to be modified.

What it was: Since 1966, owners of Ayres Thrush (Snow) Commander series aeroplanes had to strengthen the support structure for their agricultural spray booms (the long arms that extend from the wings to spread chemicals or seeds).

What changed: As of 28 August 2008, this requirement is cancelled. All affected aircraft have already been modified over the past 40+ years, so the rule is no longer needed. Aircraft owners do not need to take any further action.

Background:	This unique Australian AD, raised in 1966 against Aero Commander Service Letter (SL) No. 41, required a modification to provide additional boom support. Compliance was required forthwith. As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
