Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of CALL AIR A‑9 series aeroplanes to inspect rudder pedal torque tubes (parts 12016 and 13017) for cracks using the dye‑penetrant method, focusing on welds near the pedal and cable attachments.

Inspections are required every 100 flight hours, with the first due by 1 September 1971; the rule prevents fatigue cracks that could cause in‑flight rudder control failure.
