A mandatory safety directive requires owners and operators of Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aero Commander 500, 600, and 700 series aircraft to inspect the elevator trim tab on a short interim schedule and then complete a permanent modification per Gulfstream Service Bulletin No. 198A. It aims to prevent in‑flight trim‑tab failures affecting pitch control. This amendment expands the specific serial numbers subject to the requirement.
