Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of certain Twin Commander 500, 600, and 700 series aircraft (specified serial numbers) to have a mechanic inspect the flight‑control chain connector links within 100 flight hours after 1 February 1983, verifying correct installation per Manufacturer Service Letter No. 353.

The check prevents improperly installed connector links that could cause in‑flight loss of control by ensuring the cockpit control chain to the flight surfaces is secure.
