Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this requires: Owners and operators of specific Twin Commander aircraft (Aerocommander/Gulfstream/Rockwell 500, 600, and 700 series with serial numbers 151 to 605) must immediately inspect the rudder torque tube — a critical component that helps control the aircraft's steering.

Who it affects: Anyone operating these specific aircraft models within the identified serial number range.

What you need to do:

Carry out the inspection procedure outlined in Aero Commander Service Bulletin No. 47
Compliance is required forthwith (immediately — before further flight)

Why it matters: This directive addresses potential safety defects in the rudder control system that could affect the pilot's ability to steer the aircraft, posing a flight safety risk if not identified and rectified.
