Replace the screws according to Rockwell International Service Bulletin No. 164, at which point the inspections can stop

Why it matters: This prevents structural failure of the wing attachment points caused by worn or fatigued screws, which could lead to loss of the aircraft.

Applicability: All model 685 with S/Nos. 12000 to 12066. All models 690, 690A and 690B except those S/Nos. as quoted in SB No. 164.

Document: Rockwell International SB No. 164.

Compliance: Unless already accomplished inspect within 100 hours’ time in service after 1 March 1978 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours’ time in service until replaced as per requirement document.
