Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

What it does: Requires immediate and recurring inspections of the forward and aft inboard wing spar cap rivets on specific Twin Commander 690-series aeroplanes, and mandates replacement of affected rivets by the next major inspection after 30 April 1977.

Who it affects and why it matters: Operators of the listed serial-numbered aircraft must perform inspections before further flight (unless done within the previous 25 hours) and every 25 hours until replacement, following Rockwell SB No.163 or FAA AD 77-03-01 (Compliance: 1–2). Operators pay for inspections, parts and downtime.
