Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This is a mandatory safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) that requires owners and operators of specific Twin Commander aircraft to modify their cockpit windows immediately.

Who it affects: Anyone who owns or operates the 680T and 680V model Twin Commander aeroplanes (also marketed as Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aero Commander 500, 600 and 700 series).

What needs to happen: Operators must carry out modifications to the cockpit windows in accordance with Aero Commander Service Bulletin No. 93. The instruction to comply "forthwith" means immediately—without waiting for the next scheduled maintenance check.

Why it matters: This directive is legally binding under the Civil Aviation Regulations. Flying these aircraft without making the required modification would violate the law and potentially compromise flight safety.
