Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of certain Twin Commander 500/600/700-series airplanes (specific serial ranges and model exclusions) to perform preflight inspections of the vapour box and annual inspections of the fuel sump casting (p/n 4630068), and to ultimately replace the old sump with the improved part (p/n 4630202) per the manufacturer’s Service Bulletin 91.

It addresses a known sump-casting defect that can cause fuel leaks or engine failure, providing interim checks until the safer replacement is installed.
