Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This directive orders an immediate safety inspection of the main landing gear on specific Twin Commander aircraft.

Who is affected: Owners and operators of Twin Commander (Gulfstream/Rockwell/Aerocommander 500, 600, and 700 series) aeroplanes with serial numbers 871, 875, or 1150.

What you must do: Inspect the main landing gear actuating cylinder body (the hydraulic component that extends and retracts the landing gear) following the procedures in Aero Commander Service Letter No. 130. This must be done immediately ('forthwith' means without delay).

Why it matters: This targets a specific mechanical defect in just three aircraft. The landing gear is critical for safe landings, and this directive ensures the hydraulic cylinder won't fail.
