What this does

What must be done

Deadline

For aircraft already registered in Australia: Within 100 hours of flight time after 31 October 1979
For new aircraft entering Australian registration: Before the Certificate of Airworthiness (a safety approval document) is issued

Amdt 1

Pre Certification Requirements - Modification NK

Applicability: All AA-5A models.

Requirement: 1. Install “Open” and “Closed” placards adjacent to the outside canopy handle in positions as indicated below.

Both placards are to be painted white lettering, 6mm in height, on a black background.

Install a placard in the cabin specifying that smoking is prohibited during Take-off, Landing or Fuelling Operations.

Compliance: Unless already accomplished, within 100 hours’ time in service after 31 October 1979 for those aircraft on the Australian Register. Before C of A for other aircraft.
