AD/AA-1/4 - Fuel Tank Contents Manometer Vent Lines - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels a 1972 aviation safety rule that applied to Gulfstream AA-1 series aeroplanes. The old rule required inspection of fuel tank manometer vent lines (tubes that measure fuel levels and allow air to escape) to ensure they weren't kinked (bent or blocked). This inspection had to be completed before an aircraft could receive its Certificate of Airworthiness (the official document proving a plane is safe to fly). Because every affected aircraft would have undergone this inspection by now when they were first certified, the rule is no longer necessary. As of 4 June 2009, aircraft owners and operators no longer need to comply with this specific requirement.
