Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This CASA Airworthiness Directive requires all Australian operators of Airbus A330s to follow DGAC AD 2001-530(B), imposing a maximum operational life for aileron servo controls so they’re retired after specified flight hours/cycles to prevent in‑flight failure. It also corrects those limits being listed in the wrong maintenance manual section. Compliance is mandatory by the dates in the French AD, with a final deadline of 26 December 2002.
