Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

CASA requires external inspections of the sliding window frames on a narrowly defined set of Airbus A320‑series aeroplanes that lack Airbus Modification 20473, following Airbus Service Bulletin A320‑53‑1065.

The rule—initial check before 20,000 flights and repeats at intervals not exceeding 13,000 flights—aims to detect cracking found in a fatigue test; affected operators must fund and schedule inspections and any repairs.
