Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires specified Airbus A319/A320/A321 aircraft to be inspected and, if necessary, have reinforcement-bracket fasteners reinstalled or the MLG bellcrank reworked to prevent interference with the main landing gear free-fall extension system. Operators must inspect within 1,000 flights and comply with staged deadlines (prior-to-flight, 18 months, or within 5 years) depending on measured clearances, following Airbus instructions. Operators pay for inspections and modifications and may face short groundings for repairs.
