Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of early Airbus A320s (serial nos. 3–92) to replace specific angle brackets and shear plates in the centre fuselage per Airbus Service Bulletin A320-53-1014 to stop fatigue cracking discovered in the keel-beam/belly-fairing attachments. The modification must be done before 12,000 flights to preserve structural integrity and safe continued operation.
