This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Airbus A321-111/112/131 aircraft that have not received Airbus Mod 25369 (or complied with Service Bulletin A320-25-1167) to inspect and correct the escape slide systems at the over-wing doors (doors 2 and 3) per DGAC AD 96-054-078(B)R2. It prevents in-flight detachment of evacuation slides, protecting passengers, ground personnel and the aircraft. Effective 5 June 2008; adopted by CASA.

Applicability:	All Airbus A321-111, -112 and -131 aircraft models, without Airbus modification No. 25369 or Airbus Service Bulletin A320-25-1167 embodied.
Requirement:	Accomplish the requirements of DGAC AD 96-054-078(B)R2 as applicable.Note: DGAC AD 96-054-078(B)R2 and Airbus AOT 25-11 refers.
Compliance:	As specified in DGAC AD 96-054-078(B)R2 with a revised effective date of5 June 2008.
	This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 5 June 2008.
Background:	This Airworthiness Directive has been raised to prevent the possible risk of in flight loss of the escape slide at door 2 or 3.
