Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This document formally cancels a previous aircraft safety rule.
This instrument revokes an earlier Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory safety notice for aircraft) that applied to Airbus A319, A320, and A321 aeroplanes.
What it originally covered: The previous rule required maintenance or inspection of the Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer Actuator — a critical component that controls the pitch of the aircraft (nose up/down movement).
What this does: It cancels those requirements effective 23 October 2008.
Why it matters: The safety requirements haven't been removed; they've simply been consolidated into a newer directive (AD/A320/226). This document prevents confusion by officially terminating the old rule so operators know to follow the new one instead.
